First, you need to open the Tools menu at the top of the screen by clicking it on the top of the screen. Once the box opens up scroll down to Internet Options. Internet Options allows to change for Internet settings. Then click it and a window entitled Internet Options will open. You will have three sections on the General tab. First is Home Page, then Temporary Internet files, and finally History.

To simply clear your history do the first part only

To clear your history of visited web sites click the Clear History button. A box will then pop up asking you if you want to clear your history of visited web sites and click Yes.

To clear your files continue

Click the Delete Files... in the Temporary Internet files section and a box will pop up asking you if you want to delete the files or not. Click OK. Click the Delete Cookies... in the Temporary Internet files section and a box will pop up asking you if you want to delete the files in the Temporary Internet Files folder or not. Click OK.
